A simplistic yet functional improvised firearm. The handmade pistol is one of the few guns the survivor can craft on his own without any specialist assistance. Its simple design makes it a cheap gun to manufacture.
Short range and decent power makes this pistol an ideal companion when facing lesser enemies whole wanting to conserve other forms of ammunition.
Requires lead bullets to function.
Appearance
Not the type of pistol to be found in any gun shows, the handmade pistol completly lacks ergonomics and looks given its crude nature.
- The barrel is an iron pipe, so it must be a smoothbore pistol.
- A single piece of firewood makes up the body of the weapon.
- The whole firing mechanism is a rather strange one, not resembling any known system. It is made from wire and other pieces of scrap.
- The barrel is attached to the body of the gun with insulating tape and wire.
- Lacks a trigger guard.
- Doesn't have sights for aiming.
- It is most likely a muzzle loader pistol.

- For some reason, the survivor cant repair the pistol even when he was the one to craft it in the first place. Repairs must be done by a specialist in a workshop.
- The weapon is usable with an arm injury.
- It is not possible to dual wield a handmade pistol.
- In older versions of the game, the pistol had to be loaded before a fight in order to be used in combat.
- Before v.701, the pistol could be fully repaired with an iron pipe. Basically the gun required a barrel change.
- The firing mechanism could be a crude form of a flintlock mechanism placed behind the barrel and not on the side.
