The SVD are one of the high-caliber snipers in-game. It is an ideal weapon for shooting at any distance, paired with an excellent damage output and armor-piercing abilities which leaves the enemies close to near death. It is the second strongest sniper that can be owned in-game, Sipuha being the first on the ranks.

It is a high maintenance weapon and breaks down easily.

Repair Costs

It can be repaired from settlements Specialist in-exchange for required currency. For every 1% of durability loss, you get to pay:

Obtaining

SVD is a specialty product that can only be manufactured at Tyumen Settlement. Survivors can access this by upgrading the Specialist to Level 2.

Perk Upgrades

SVD can be further improved and on the list are the known survivor Perks applicable to this equipment.

	Sniper	Adds an extra action point (AP) to deal additional damage of +30% / +40% / +50% for every upgrade.

Notes

• The SVD is more commonly known as the Dragunov Sniper Rifle.
• Before version 701 this weapon can be obtained by completing the Slaughter House Mission. Yuri will give the player the SVD if the player choose to let Nikita died. After version 701 Yuri will will give a Mosin instead.
• SVD is short for Snayperskaya Vintovka Dragunova or "Снайперская Винтовка Драгунова" in Russian.
• On older versions, the SVD was Sasha´s weapon of choice as shown on her character art.
