In general repair gives 1 Sewing XP for each Thread / Wire used, so you can farm sewing skill if you can gather Threads/Wire from repairing

Trivia

  • Cheapset way to level up is to make masks
  • tearing clothing from dead bodies also helps
  • The more Wire/Threads you find, the more sewing XP you can get from repairing clothes/armor
  • Sewing up wounds also gives XP, but it's a rather slow and painful way to level up
